I primarily use the Vitamix for smoothies. I use raw greens, frozen fruit, fresh fruit, and soy milk or juice if needed. I have been so impressed with the results. Whole fruits and veggies are liquefied, resulting in smooth and well integrated smoothies. My husband scoffed at the idea of adding spinach or lettuce to smoothies, until he tried one from the Vitamix. Now he’s a convert, and frequently asks for whole food smoothies for dinner or snacks. This Margarita Maker is definitely worth the money! It makes yummy margaritas and daiquiris. Just put in the ingredients and it does the rest. The jug is so easy to clean too! It fits in the dishwasher and KitchenAid even thought enough to put holes in the base for the water to drain out. This is a sturdy unit. The weight is about 10 lbs. so it doesn’t jump all over the counter. The controls are very easy to use and the base is a pleasure to keep clean. The ice crusher feature turns out a mountain of fine snow in no time at all. The unit is well worth the money. The reputation of KitchenAid speaks for itself.

This blender has all the power you need. The motor is unstoppable, the blade is fantastic, it cleans easily, the jar is polycarbonate (i.e. unbreakable if you drop it), and there is a removable plastic piece in the lid in case you do want to use a stir stick. I love this blender, and when it dies (which I hope/believe will be years from now, given how reliable my other Kitchenaid appliances are) I will be replacing it with the exact same make and model. It’s everything a blender should be!

The blender comes with an extra wide container which is very nice, heavy duty, and it is very sturdy. There is a limited number of buttons that are pre-programmed for various tasks which is awesome. No more manual pulsing, unless you want to. Put ice in, press one button, and it pulses automatically! And it even has a timer. The blender chews through all sorts of hard items like parsnips. The blender is also attractive and easy to clean.
